If you are looking to make changes in health improvement, weight loss, ...
In January 2010, November 2011, January 2013 and 2015 our venue was Swisscare, a small and elegant hotel on the Sinai peninsular, on the Red Sea. It is off the beaten track, away from large commercial resorts but not far from Sharm el Sheikh, and has a lovely beach, pool and coral reef with spacious private suites for guests. Perfect for a healing retreat in Egypt.
Swisscare Hotel, Nuweiba, is highly acclaimed as 2008 Travellers Choice on Trip advisor and member of Small Elegant Hotels. Being a family run hotel, Swiss and Egyptian husband and wife, they have the flexibility to accommodate the needs of our healing and detox retreats and offer the added benefit of enabling your family and partners to accompany you on your trip, enjoying the hotel and its traditional menu, while you follow your cleansing and healing programme.
Situated on the shore of the Red Sea, with Sinai mountains behind and the mountains of Saudi Arabia in front, this is a place of breathtaking natural beauty.
Here we can be guaranteed sunshine, deeply peaceful environment, stunning views, above and below water, warm hospitality and personal care. Plus you will have lots of Egyptian adventures to accompany you on your inner journey back to radiant health and vitality and towards your target weight and new direction in life.
Accommodation options are as follows depending on your budget:
1. Private Suite for Single Persons
You can book an entire suite, with double bedroom and living room. Each room of your suite with its own bathroom plus its own terrace or balcony, kettle, fridge, TV and air conditioning.
2. Double Room Ensuite plus Twin Ensuite in a shared 2-room suite
You may choose to share a suite with 1 or 2 people. There is a double room and a twin room. Each room has its own entrance, and ensuite facilities with separate terrace or balcony. There is a joining door and the fridge, kettle and TV are in the twin side of the suite.
Your retreat programme will have free time built in for you to enjoy the Sinai area and enjoy an excursion or two.
Choose from :
Desert meditation, Bedouin experience and camel ride, diving and snorkling, windsurfing, the world famous St Catharine’s Monastery and Moses Mountain, glass bottomed boat excursions over the coral reef, Petra in Jordan, Pharoah’s Island and Salah el Deen’s Castle, visit to Bedouin villages, jeep safari and hikes into the Sinai desert and amazing coloured canyons. Excursions will be added to your room bill and can be paid in cash or by card on departure.
Swisscare hotel is situated along the Sinai peninsula between Sharm el Sheikh and Taba, on the Gulf of Aqaba. We recommend that you fly into Sharm el Sheikh where there are daily flights, or Taba. Staff from the hotel will meet you outside customs and take you by mini bus to the hotel with refreshments on board. The transfer time from Sharm el Sheikh is 1hr 45 and from Taba 1 hr 15. If you desire a transfer there is a supplement for this.
You can purchase a visa on arrival in Egypt at the airport from any of the bank counters. The cost is about £10, $15, 15euros. However you don't need a visa unless you plan to take an excursion outside of the Sinai area or unless you stay more than 2 weeks.
You can see more pictures of the venue and our last retreat in Nuweiba by watching the short video below.
We were very happy with Swisscare resort and its excellent and caring service and would be happy to use them again as a future retreat venue.
