We are most delighted and proud to have the most amazing yoga teacher Jo Hogarty with us on all our healing retreats to run the yoga and meditation classes.

Jo’s background is varied encompassing a number of traditions such as Vini, Ashtanga, Hatha, and Sivananda Yoga, which she learned over a period of 10 years both in the UK and in India.

On the retreats, as people’s level of health and fitness varies, Jo mostly teaches Hatha yoga, but brings the best of other traditions into her classes as appropriate.

In her meditation classes again catering for the wide range of people’s experience, Jo has a wealth of experience to draw on from Buddhist meditation and to what she has learned Ashrams in India over a period of 10 years.

Jo has been teaching yoga for 13 years, and practicing since she was a child. She originates from Cumbria but lives in Southampton where she has 10 busy popular classes per week.

In addition to Yoga, Jo is qualified in Thai Yoga Massage. Sessions last 2 hours and after this workout you feel totally amazing. She offers this wonderful therapy as an additional option at our retreats.

Jo students all love her. She is hard task master in the yoga classes giving you a good workout, but her mischievous sense of humour will also have you in stitches even as you sweat. Jo is a real gem, with a twinkle in her eye, a true bright and joyful spirit and we are blessed to have her presence on our detox healing and yoga retreats.
